Minnkota Power Cooperative is committed to delivering safe, reliable, affordable and sustainable electricity. Mitigating the risk of wildfire is one of our top priorities in meeting that commitment. In recognizing risk factors, following existing procedures and implementing new practices, Minnkota aims to continue to provide excellent service while mitigating wildfire risk.

Minnkota has developed a Wildfire Mitigation Plan to identify risk factors of wildfire in North Dakota and Minnesota and to document the co-op’s processes and procedures – such as vegetation management and construction standards – to reduce those risks in our system.
